Lifetime Network has cast Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominee, Rob Lowe to play the Florida prosecutor in the new network’s movie about the Casey Anthony Trial.
Lowe has already played a part for Lifetime as an accused wife murderer in the Lifetime movie, ‘Drew Peterson: Untouchable.’
The Lifetime movie is based on Ashton’s book and officials say the movie will show “Ashton’s inside story of the true crime drama that captivated and then shocked the nation when Caylee Anthony’s mother, Casey, was acquitted of killing her daughter, despite what many thought to be overwhelming evidence of guilt.”
They say the movie will be shown through the eyes of Ashton and take viewers behind the scenes of the trial.
The Executive Vice President of Programming at Lifetime Networks, Rob Sharenow says, “Rob Lowe is one of those rare stars who can do it all, comedy, drama, heroes and villains.”
The title of the movie will be called ‘Prosecuting Casey Anthony.’
The movie even beat the previous record of $169.2 million for ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2’ opening last year.

Movie analysts say if movies like ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ which is released July 3 is still out in theaters by the time ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ comes out, that the movie will make less sales than expected.
Also, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ will only be shown in 2-D and 2-D IMAX and not 3-D like ‘The Avengers’ which made up the majority of the Marvel movie’s opening weekend sales.

His transformation was so convincing that during practice for one of the scenes, some LAPD cops were driving by and Gyllenhaal threw up a hand sign with four fingers to say ‘everything is ok’ and the cops threw the sign back.
The film’s writer and director, David Ayer says shooting throughout the film was a “found footage” style which meant the camera crew was usually out of sight when Gyllenhaal and his partner, Michael Pena performed their scenes.
He says there were times when Gyllenhaal and Pena would be in marked police cars and no cameras would be around to show that a movie was being filmed.
The director also says that the shooting style means that the footage comes from cell phones and security cameras which is inspired by reality.
The Kodak Company had signed a 20-year naming rights deal with the group in 1999.
The president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Tom Sherak said they had considered moving the Academy Awards to another venue, but they decided to keep the Oscars in Hollywood.
